As the Lead Analyst for Google New Zealand, Craig is passionate about data informed decision making and bottom line benefits it can offer New Zealand business.

Craig has worked in Digital Marketing for over a decade and specialises in data analytics and conversion optimisation. He brings a wealth of experience and insight gained through working alongside some of New Zealand’s most successful businesses.

Craig will be sharing ways to best leverage Google Analytics and how to extract meaningful data, using practical examples relevant to the travel and tourism industry.

Amanda Jordon

Amanda Jordon Google

Amanda is the Strategic Partner Manager for Google Premier SMB Partners. She has been at Google for 4 years, starting in the Sydney office working with key Insurance clients. Amanda then moved back to NZ where she most recently managed Google’s key accounts portfolio of Retail and Government clients.

Amanda has now shifted from focusing on big businesses to working with Google partners to get small NZ businesses live and thriving in the digital world - specifically across Google Search, Display and on YouTube. Her aim with this talk will be to help demystify the digital landscape and help businesses identify what they need to do to help drive sales online.

Cornelius Boertjens

Cornelius Boertjens Catchi

A highly skilled digital marketing strategist with more than 12 years of experience in this field, Cornelius is the MD at Catchi – a leading specialist in website conversion optimisation with offices in Auckland and Sydney.

When he’s not optimising web conversions for clients such as ANZ, Air New Zealand, Spark, AA, Lotto NZ and Adventure World, Cornelius is shaping the minds of future digital marketing innovators as one of the Course Directors of the MA’s Certificate of Digital Marketing, and guest lecturer at Auckland University School of Business.

Susan Sullivan

Susan Sullivan Infront Communications and Bond University

Susan has worked in the tourism communications arena for more than 30 years.  From her base in sunny Queensland, she's headed public relations activities for a multitude of tourism products including Hamilton Island, Aspen Skiing Company (Australia and New Zealand), and Mantra Group – as well as holding a board role with Tourism Whitsundays.

An adjunct lecturer and tutor at Griffith University and Bond University, Susan teaches across public relations, social media and journalism disciplines whilst running her PR Consultancy, Infront Communcations and Social Media Training business, Using Social.

Andy Havill

Andy Havill Boundary Road

Andy works in the Beer & Cider marketing team at Boundary Road Brewery managing a portfolio of brands across both segments. His work has spanned a number of industries, including tourism, here in NZ, the UK and the US, all of which have featured digital at the core of the campaigns he has managed.

It was digital that saw the Boundary Road Brewery craft beer range become the world’s first successful digital-centric beer launch and one of Independent Liquor's most successful new product developments in their 25 year history. Andy will be sharing some insight into this successful digital campaign along with other recent digital launches, much of which can be applied to the tourism industry.

Jitendra Patel

Jitendra Patel Haka Tours

Jitendra has worked in the digital world for more than 15 years, starting off in the ‘dotcom’ boom of 1999/2000.

Working in a variety of digital roles in the United Kingdom and New Zealand – for companies including Vodafone NZ and Haka Tours – his real-world expertise in fascinating areas such as SEO, social media and video marketing, copywriting, web design and blogging are important elements of his current digital marketing arsenal for Haka Tours.

Daniel Bridges

Daniel Bridges Trade Me

Daniel Bridges is Head of Satellites for Trade Me, where he has been for the last 7 years running the Travelbug website and more recently the BookIt booking engine, Holiday Houses and their dating website FindSomeone. He is passionate about delivering awesome online experiences and making travel bookings easier for travellers and operators. Prior to Trade Me, Daniel worked in the wine industry for 5 years with Villa Maria Estate. Daniel lives in Wellington with his wife and two children and enjoys brewing super-hoppy APAs, drinking ice-cold ginger beer, running in the Wellington hills and the occasional game of low stakes poker.

I'm not from Christchurch – what do I need to know?

Who do I inform about special dietary requirements?

If you have any dietary requirements or allergies please specify on the registration form provided during ticket purchasing.

Is WayPoint on social media?

We sure are! Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Let your online mates know you're attending and keep them up-to-date on event happenings using the hashtag #WayPointNZ.

Can I plug my device in during the conference?

There will be charging stations for electronic devices available, but please remember to charge up beforehand.

Where do I park?

Free parking will be available south of the venue on Hagley Ave but you will need to be in quick. Alternatively there is $5/day parking available at the corner of St Asaph and Antigua Streets, then enjoy a nice 10 minute stroll to the venue.

Do I need to print my tickets?

WayPoint is fully-digital, so you won't receive a paper ticket. You won't need to print your own ticket off, either. After purchasing your tickets online you will receive a confirmation email and be automatically added into our registration system.

No paper ticket? How do I check in when I arrive on the day?

Easy. Simply head to the registration desk upon arrival to check in and pick up your name tag.

Will there be WiFi?

WayPoint is fully-digital, so there will absolutely be WiFi! We will provide the password at registration.

Can I take photos during the conference?

Please do! We'd love to see lots of photos shared on social media using the hashtag #WayPointNZ. Please be courteous to fellow conference-goers. Keep your smartphones switched off or on silent during the presentations.

Can I take notes?

Of course you can! We want you to take the knowledge you glean during WayPoint and apply it to improve your business. The conference will feature a classroom-style setting so laptop, iPads and notebooks can be placed on the desks.

WayPoint will be held at the historic and refurbished Hagley Oval, just 15 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. Easily accessible by bus, car or a short stroll from the city centre along the Avon River, Hagley Oval’s Pavilion Lounge offers fantastic views across the grounds, a classroom-style setting so tablets and laptops can be placed on desks, and reliable WiFi to keep everyone online.
